How to Choose a Good Diamond Saw Blade?

2019/8/17 15:46:04 Source:www.boreway.com
 1.Selection of Diamond Particle Size
When the diamond size is coarse and single, the blade head is sharp and the cutting efficiency is high.
The bending strength of Diamond Dry Cutters - Turbo Segmented Small Saw Blade caking decreases; when the diamond particle size is fine or the coarse particle size is mixed, the blade head has high durability but low efficiency. Considering the above factors, the diamond size of 50/60 mesh is more suitable.
2. Selection of Diamond Distribution Concentration
Within a certain range, when the diamond concentration changes from low to high, the sharpness and sawing efficiency of the saw blade decrease gradually, while the service life of the saw blade increases gradually, but if the concentration is too high, the saw blade will become blunt. The efficiency will be improved by using low concentration and coarse granularity. By using the different effects of different parts of the blade in sawing, different concentrations (i.e. lower concentrations can be used in the middle layer of three or more layers) can be used to form an intermediate groove in the process of sawing, which is helpful to prevent the blade from swaying and improve the quality of stone processing.
3.Selection of Diamond Strength
The strength of diamond is an important index to ensure cutting performance. Excessive strength will make the crystal not easy to break, the abrasive particles are polished in use, sharpness decreases, resulting in deterioration of tool performance; When the strength of Turbo Rim Diamond Concave Saw Blades is insufficient, it is fragile after being impacted and difficult to bear the heavy cutting task. Therefore, the strength should be chosen between 130 and 140 N.
4. Selection of Bonding Phase
The performance of saw blade depends not only on diamond, but also on the overall performance of the composite tool head composed of diamond and binder. For soft stone materials such as marble, the mechanical properties of the tool head should be relatively low, and the tool head can be selected.
Copper-based binder. However, the copper-based binder has low sintering temperature, low strength and hardness, high toughness and low bonding strength with diamond. When tungsten carbide (WC) is added, WC or W2C is used as skeleton metal, and appropriate amount of cobalt is added to improve the strength, hardness and bonding properties. A small amount of low melting point and low hardness copper, Sn, Zn and other metals are added as bonding phases. The particle size of the main additive should be 200 meshes and that of the additive should be less than 300 meshes.
5. Selection of sintering process
With the increase of temperature, the densification degree of matrix increases, and the flexural strength also increases. With the extension of holding time, the flexural strength of blank matrix and diamond agglomeration first increases and then decreases. Sintering at 800 C for 120s can be selected to meet the performance requirements.
